Young Thugga Mane La Flare is a collaborative mixtape between Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and Young Thug. Released on April 20, 2014, the tape is Gucci’s first project since December 2013’s The State vs Radric Davis 2, and Thug’s first since his January 2014 Bloody Jay collaborative project Black Portland. YTMLF showcases a passing of the torch from a soon-to-be incarcerated Gucci to an up-and-coming Thug, with it being recorded before Gucci’s arrest in September 2013, which ultimately led to him being imprisoned until 2016.
Boasting 13 tracks and features from Peewee Longway and Takeoff, YTMLF includes the track “Don’t Look at Me,” which previously appeared on Gucci’s August 2013 mixtape World War 3, Vol. 2: Molly.
In June 2014, Gucci and Thug released another collaborative mixtape, titled The Purple Album. However, Gucci was only featured on two of the project’s 12 tracks, making it more like a solo Thug tape.
