1017 Thug 2 is the follow up to Thugger’s debut mixtape under 1017 Records, 1017 Thug. Like the third installment in the series, 1017 Thug 3: The Finale, Thugger did not participate in putting the project together; it’s just a compilation of songs that Gucci’s engineer put together to get Thug off his 1017 contract. There was even more controversy over the tape’s release, as the original artwork it came with is Young Thug’s face photoshopped over Wiz Khalifa’s body, to which Wiz responded on Twitter: The artwork was later changed to a different picture.
