Live. Love. ASAP (stylized as LIVE.LOVE.A$AP) is the debut mixtape by Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who like many artists blowing up at the time, released it as a free digital download on October 31, 2011.
LIVE.LOVE.ASAP is mostly known for its trippy and psychedelic production from the likes of producers Clams Casino and SpaceGhostPurpp, along with Rocky’s charismatic/swaggy rapping and lyrics relating to drug use and living a hedonistic lifestyle.
The mixtape was heavily promoted with two singles, “Peso” and “Purple Swag,” both of which garnered Rocky heavy mainstream attention and the latter of which caused a bidding war over Rocky to ensue, with the rapper eventually scoring a $3 million deal with Polo Grounds Music, an imprint of RCA.
Upon release, LIVE.LOVE.A$AP received widespread acclaim from critics, and is the record that introduced Rocky to the mainstream.
In 2021, the project was re-released to celebrate the its 10th anniversary, being made available on major streaming platforms for the first time. The re-release is missing the tracks “Kissin' PInk” and “Out Of This World.”
