ScHoolboy Q’s second LP, Habits and Contradictions, first announced on Twitter, was released on January 14th, 2012 by Top Dawg Entertainment. The album details Q’s life; including his drug habits and gang life. He says in an interview with Hot New Hiphop how the album was made not only for fame, but also to give his daughter a better life: I’ve got a daughter – I can’t be in the studio not knowing I’m not ‘bout to win. She’s four years old, so I basically just wasted four years of her life. Didn’t bring her a dollar, didn’t buy her a shoe […] that’s wasted time."
