The title is an homage to Lauryn Hill, more specifically, her 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. It was available to fans as a free download. As noted by Rap Up, the project draws inspiration from the likes of Janet Jackson, who Taylor borrows a lyric from on “D.U.I.”
