Super-producer Madlib released Shades of Blue June 24, 2003. Shades is Madlib’s way of summarizing the massive catalog that composes Blue Note Records. As his way of paying homage to the genre, Madlib released this small summary of Blue Note record label music on the actual Blue Note label.
