Free Bricks is a collaborative mixtape by Atlanta rappers Gucci Mane and Future. Released on July 29, 2011, it follows up Gucci’s tape Writing on the Wall 2, released earlier that month, as well as Future’s June 2011 Stuey Rock collaborative project FDU & Freebandz. Free Bricks sees an established name in the trap scene in Gucci using his popularity to boost an (at the time) up-and-coming Future. Boasting 13 tracks, Free Bricks includes guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Rocko, and Young Scooter. A sequel to the tape, titled Free Bricks 2, was released on February 28, 2013. However, it was a collaboration between Gucci and fellow Atlanta rapper Young Scooter instead of Future. Gucci and Future later teamed up again and released Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition on November 14, 2016, which some people view as the true second installment in the Free Bricks series.
