“Get You” is the lead single from Daniel’s debut album Freudian. The track appears as the opener of the album. After the release of the album, the track became a hit, peaking at number 93 on the Hot 100, and going platinum in the United States and Canada. Part of what helped the song gain traction was Daniel’s partnership with Apple Music, becoming one of their “Up Next” artists. The B-side, “Japanese Denim,” does not appear on Freudian. An acoustic demo of the song was released a year prior.
