Day of the Dead EP - Flatbush Zombies
Day of the Dead EP

The Day of the Dead EP is an unofficial compilation of weekly singles that the Flatbush Zombies released in 2014 and 2015. In March 2014, following the Zombies' rapid rise to fame, the group released a “HiGH Def Announcement” on YouTube that laid out a weekly schedule for their fans—including new music every subsequent Friday, which they dubbed as the “Day of the Dead”. Releasing five tracks weekly in spring 2014, the group initially alluded in the descriptions of these singles that they were intended for an EP titled It’s All a Matter of Perspective. However, It’s All a Matter of Perspective was seemingly scrapped, and the Zombies decided to release four more Day of the Dead tracks throughout March 2015 to finish off the series while they worked on their debut studio album 3001: A Laced Odyssey (2016). Since all of tracks were released individually on SoundCloud, the Day of the Dead tracks have since been compiled chronologically by fans into an EP. Another single originally intended for IAAMOP titled “LiT” was released in February 2014, before the initial DOTD releases. However, since it was released beforehand, “LiT” is not considered part of the DOTD series.
