Lust For Life is Lana Del Rey’s fifth studio album, following 2015’s Honeymoon. It was released on July 21st 2017, through Polydor and Interscope Records worldwide and Urban in Germany. The album is a body of work created by Del Rey and long time producer and collaborator Rick Nowels, along with the comeback of Born to Die producer Emile Haynie. She described the aesthetic of the album as a “Retro sensibility with a futuristic flare,” adding: I love the sound of the record, it has everything that I love sonically. I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed. The title Lust for Life was first used for Irving Stone’s 1934 biographical novel about Vincent Van Gogh. It has also been used to name songs and albums by Iggy Pop, Drake, Childish Gambino, Girls and Heavenly.
