The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted is Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane’s fifth studio album. It is the sequel to his December 2009 studio album, The State vs. Radric Davis. Released on September 28, 2010, the 15-track project includes features from Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, and Trey Songz, among others.
Originally, the album was titled The State vs. Radric Davis: The Appeal; the title was changed before release. The Appeal was promoted with a slew of mixtapes released from June to September, such as Mr. Zone 6, Jewelry Selection, Ferrari Music, and the conveniently-titled Buy My Album.
A third album in the State vs. Radric Davis series, titled The State vs. Radric Davis: The Verdict, was set to be released after The Appeal. However, The Verdict was scrapped, leaving the trilogy incomplete. Gucci’s sixth studio album ended up being The Return of Mr. Zone 6, a sequel to Mr. Zone 6. A seperate sequel to The State vs. Radric Davis, titled The State vs. Radric Davis II: the Caged Bird Sings, was released on Christmas Day 2013.
