River Jordan is the debut release from recent Roc Nation signee, Manolo Rose. The forthcoming album is supported by the addictive lead single, “PINK FUR”, & the thematic primer, “Wallahi”. Adorned with the tagline ‘disgustingly beautiful’, the project utilizes the cross-cultural symbolism of the River Jordan as its conceptual backdrop. Informed by Manolo’s syncretic faith (a hybrid of the revisionistic Nation of Islam, fused with the ethno-tribalism of the Black Hebrew Israelites), River Jordan will offer an intersectional vantage point on religiosity within the Black diaspora. It is Manolo’s first committed foray into such subject matter.
