On October 9, 2017, Lil Wintr released the single “We Are,” which would later become the lead single for WINTRSZN. He began frequently tweeting using the hashtag #wintrszn, which he later revealed would be a prelude to his new release. On December 30, 2017, Lil Wintr released his highly anticipated first album WINTRSZN, his third solo project in total, following a five month absence after the release of the D1 EP by him and friends; all of which made appearances on WINTRSZN one way or another.
