Bawskee is Comethazine’s debut mixtape, consisting of many previously heard singles, such as “Bands,” “Let It Eat,” and “Oowee.” Both Lil Yachty and Ugly God serve as the album’s sole features. The word “Bawskee” comes from a word Comethazine made up himself. In an interview with Audiomack released on May 15, 2018, Comethazine stated that Bawskee is his gang and that it represents a lifestyle. Bawskee is also named after Comethazine’s merchandise brand, as well as naming a song after the Bawskee name. Bawskee just means, like, it’s a lifestyle, you feel me? Like, if I land on a trick on a skateboard or some shit, I’d be like “Bawskee shit,” you feel me? If I do something dope, I’d just be like “Bawskee shit,” you feel me? So, Bawskee is just a lifestyle for me. Three “commercials” were released by ELEVATOR in the span of February and August 2018 in anticipation of the tape, which can be viewed here, here, and here. Prior to the release of Bawskee, a total of seven singles were released in the span of November 2017 and July 2018, most of which gained viral attention during Comethazine’s breakthrough at the time.
