Goodbye is a 4 track EP and my first ever musical project. I began writing and recording the project in early June due to a falling out I experienced with a significant other. During early March, my first serious girlfriend broke up with me after about a year long relationship, at which point I really started connecting with X and his newly released album ?. At the time, I was a mess, but this new girl kind of came in and helped me move on from the break up. We also happened to fall in love with each other super quickly, which wasn’t the intention. For about 2 months, we had a super healthy and fun relationship, but she unexpectedly changed her mind. Around the time of that ‘break up'–although we weren’t dating, I just refer to it as that to make things easier–I found Juice WRLD and his newly released album Goodbye & Good Riddance. I had “Lucid Dreams” on repeat, so much so that I wrote a mock track with my own flare. Shortly thereafter, X passed away passed away and the girl blocked me in all forms possible. I hit an ultimate low, and music became way for me to cope with, channel, and explore my emotions of grievance. Both X and Juice WRLD have greatly inspired this EP and its themes. The EP also served as a way for me to have some fun and express invisibility on “Want That”.
