Diary Of a Trap God - Gucci Mane
Diary Of a Trap God

Diary of a Trap God is a mixtape by Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane. Released for free online on September 11, 2013, it came after a now-infamous three-day Twitter rant where Gucci called out several figures in the rap industry, as well as claimed to sleep with several female rappers and rappers' significant others at the time. Some chose to chalk up his meltdown as simply promo for the tape, although Gucci was arrested two days later. The arrest eventually led to him being incarcerated until May 2016. Diary of a Trap God was allegedly intended to be a full-length studio album released under Atlantic Records, but Gucci was dropped from the label just days prior to its surprise release on free mixtape sites online. Boasting a hefty 23 tracks, Diary of a Trap God has a unique assortment of guest appearances, ranging from frequent collaborators such as Young Scooter, Chief Keef, Waka Flocka Flame, and OJ da Juiceman, to more mainstream rap acts such as Akon and Tyga (who Gucci was “beefing” with during his Twitter tirade), and even rock musician Marilyn Manson. The mixtape includes two popular previously released tracks: “Nothin' on Ya” and “I Heard.”
