A Leaking Head IV: Aye Moe Kill Securîtî

A Leaking Head IV: Aye Moe Kill Securîtî is the fourth installment of Sybyr’s A Leaking Head project series. The compilation record succeeds Sybyr’s June 2018 album, Cybersoldiermac, and is his third body-of-work released in 2018. The album was tentatively titled Aye Moe, Get Securîtî—lacking the A Leaking Head prefix—as revealed by an August 2018 Tumblr post. In celebration of hip-hop’s 45th birthday, Sybyr announced the album on August 11, 2018, revealing the album’s title and release date. For the record’s second teaser, Sybyr would subtly upload “C” onto his Tumblr account, being the album’s first confirmed track, alongside this preview, Sybyr would showcase the record’s alternative cover. For the record’s third and final tease, Sybyr would debut the album’s cover art onto Twitter, while also cementing the album’s release date. Thirteen of the instrumentals on the release are produced by Sybyr himself, all under his alter-ego, Landfill. The rest of the project is handled by the likes of Nonbruh, Ginseng, BlackMayo, and Eldrick, all producing a single track each. Post-release, the record was well-received from fans, having positive reviews on crowd-sourced review websites, having an average of 79/100 on Album of The Year, alongside an overall rating of 3.24/5 on Rate Your Music. “Just A Lot” was the first track from the record to receive a music video, releasing in January 2019, the video was popular among fans and new listeners alike. Chase would follow up with a music video to “Prep Wrath” in June 2020. Despite there being no promotional singles for the album, the majority of the record’s content was released before the album itself, primarily being a repackaged version of the now-deleted Bandcamp version of Cybersoldiermac, alongside various cuts taken from other projects alongside a lone loose single: “Intro of 9th,” “Scripture,” and “From the Cut” were originally released on October 27, 2014, inside Sybyr’s eponymous record, Lord Mackovich—released under his former alias, MacXVII. “Pathetic” released on April 7, 2016, as a loose single under Sybyr’s short-lived alter-ego, Helly Is Hansyn. “Take Ya Shine” originally released on January 9, 2017, inside Sybyr’s evil nigga mixtape—under Sybyr’s former alias, Syringe. “C,” “Moe on the Way,” “Have Fun.,” “Scheme,” “Fanboys,” and “Hey You There, Decipher This” all originally released onto the Bandcamp version of Cybersoldiermac.
