The Cozart - Chief Keef
The Cozart

The Cozart is another one of Keef’s long-awaited projects and if a follow-up to Keef’s project Mansion Musick. The Cozart was first announced in 2015 by Keef himself on Twitter and later was officially confirmed by Keef’s label at the time, FlimOn, on September 28, 2015. The Cozart, at the time, would’ve been Keef’s second studio album release since he was dropped by Interscope Records in 2014. Even though the album was announced there was no confirmed release date prior to Keef’s temporary retirement in early 2016, since Keef had ongoing issues with his label at the time. About two and a half years after Keef’s retirement, in an interview after his performance at Rolling Loud music festival, on September 16, 2018, in Oakland California, Keef announced the project once again. With this announcement, he also announced projects such as Back From The Dead 3 and Almighty So 2. Following this announcement, the long-awaited project finally released on September 28, 2018.
