Automatic Gunfire is the 4th mixtape by the hip-hop group G-Unit, along with being the first one to release after their legendary trilogy of tapes (50 Cent is The Future, No Mercy, No Fear, and God’s Plan), 50 Cent claimed in an interview with the Breakfast Club in 2023 that this mixtape came into fruition because of Ja Rule dissing Eminem and his daughter Hailie on his song Loose Change, and G-Unit recorded this n a week as a response to Ja (understandably) pissing Eminem off, however this was mixed up information because the tape was made as a response to Irv Gotti and Ja dissing him & the rest of G-Unit on the morning show & showing the supposed order of protection 50 signed against them. this was also the last official G-Unit mixtape (before the radio era) to have Tony Yayo involved live and in person because he would get arrested later in the month on drug charges
