My Homies Part 2 - Scarface
My Homies Part 2

My Homies Part 2 was another double album released as a sequel to the platinum 1998 double album My Homies. The album peaked at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The guest list features Ice Cube, The Game, Beanie Sigel, Z-Ro, Bun B, Juvenile, 8Ball & MJG, Do or Die, and Common’s remix of “The Corner” with Kanye West, Mos Def and the Last Poets. Production was handled by Kanye West, Tone Capone, N.O. Joe, Mike Dean, The Legendary Traxster, and Scarface among others. Scarface claimed this was an unauthorized put-together money grab by Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince: He put my name on My Homies 2. If anything, I feel like he was trying to ruin my career with cut-away material that never ever made the album. Just a totally disrespectful dude when it came to your shit. J didn’t give a fuck about you. He gave a fuck about him. He didn’t give a fuck about your family. He gave a fuck about his. He didn’t give a fuck who you fed. He only fed his people. That’s real shit. I’m not making this shit up.
