iLOVEFRiDAY

iLOVEFRiDAY
iLOVEFRiDAY was a musical duo originating from Atlanta by the former couple Xeno Carr and Aqsa. The couple broke up in early 2023 and the iLOVEFRiDAY project is now spear-headed by Aqsa herself, with Xeno continuing to release music as a solo artist. In the years before iLOVEFRiDAY, Xeno Carr was originally a producer and a solo performer. Aqsa was originally a photographer and videographer. Xeno and Aqsa originally met through mutual friends. They were friends for a while before becoming romantically involved with each other. Creatively, Aqsa would shoot Xeno’s earlier music videos. They later decided to start making music together, leading to the creation of iLOVEFRiDAY. On October 29, 2017, the duo released their first ever song, “Hate Me.” The display of Aqsa, then at the time going by Smoke Hijabi, smoking in her hijab stirred the pot as she continued to be her rebellious true self, gaining the duo their initial buzz. It didn’t take long for them to start gaining real traction as on January 12, 2018, not even three months later, they released what would become their breakout hit single, “Travel Ban.” They followed the success of “Travel Ban” up with the release of their first self-titled EP, I Love Friday. On February 13, 2018, iLOVEFRiDAY released what would become their biggest song to date, “Mia Khalifa.” The song was a diss track towards the retired adult film star, Mia Khalifa. It came to fruition after Aqsa misread a fake tweet as a real one from the Instagram meme page, trashpump. They continued 2018 by releasing more and more music, with songs such as “Sauce It Up,” “Woah Vicky” and “Jasmine” all seeing great success. Towards the end of 2018, “Mia Khalifa” would see new light as it went viral on the video sharing platform, TikTok, making it one of the first songs to go viral on the platform. The duo started off 2019 with the release of “CRACKHEAD.” their next mega-viral song. It was originally made as a skit for social media, being posted on December 26, 2017. They eventually turned it into a full songs after many requests from fans. On September 27, 2019, the duo released their debut and final EP together, MOOD. It featured popular songs such as “Mia Khalifa” and “CRACKHEAD.” After a year and a half hiatus from music, the duo returned on February 14, 2021 with the release of “TOMORROW.” This song ended up being the duos final release. Over the next few years, the duo remained relevant by posting various skit videos to social media. They accumulated millions of followers and tens of millions of views, however this would all come to a halt in the beginning of 2023 when Xeno and Aqsa broke up. Xeno continued to post skits to social media, even releasing a solo album titled It’s Not You, It’s Me. Aqsa remained fairly silent for the next couple of years, only making occasional social media posts. She eventually came back as a streamer. As of 2025, the iLOVEFRiDAY project is now in control by Aqsa alone. She released her first solo iLOVEFRiDAY song on July 1, 2025, with “TRAGiC.” The song was a diss track towards her former partner and bandmate, Xeno Carr, accusing him of cheating on her while they were in a relationship together.
